Press Release

Stress and anxiety are prevalent among mothers. More than two-thirds of moms surveyed in a post-pandemic survey of 3,000 women by Everyday Health Group reported feeling anxious. Money issues, a lack of support, and the pressure to be perfect parents all contribute to a rise in anxiety, according to the October 2022 study.

A new release, Finding God Faithful in an Anxious World (Redemption Press), a devotional by debut author Lynn Nitcher, seeks to challenge and encourage moms to depend more completely on God in their mothering journeys.

Nitcher, a podcast host at The Drive Thru Moms was a stay-at-home mom of three, as well as worked in early childhood education in both public and private school settings, and understands the stress and challenges involved in raising children. She presents relatable and encouraging personal stories of God’s faithfulness in times of stress in parenting to point to the ever-present faithfulness of God who promises peace for anxious hearts.

Faithful Before, Faithful Again is written for moms overwhelmed in the maze of children’s activities and busy schedules, moms of teens, and empty-nester moms who may feel they no longer have a purpose. Lynn Nitcher shares what God has done in her own life through her own seasons of anxiety and worry. She says, “My number one goal for the book is that moms will remember God’s faithfulness, see where he has met them in their needs before, and rest in the knowledge that he will be there again in the future. Because God has been faithful before, we can know he will be faithful again.”

The book provides journaling pages with space for reflective responses to encourage spending daily time with Jesus in his Word to discover God’s faithfulness in their own lives.
